The Dimension 16 has premium features such as aluminum alloy rims, hubs, stem, handlebars, cranks and frameset. The drivetrain (cranks, chainring, rear sprocket) have all been carefully optimized for compatibility with a 4-6 year old childs' muscle strength. The freewheel (no coaster brake) makes starting a ride easy because the pedal is easily positioned in a proper "launch" position, and the powerful front and rear hand brakes condition the hands for instinctive braking action on larger bikes in the future.
The Dimension 16 weighs only 16 pounds, but this can be reduced by selected premium tires from Schwalbe Germany. These tires give your Dimension 16 a distinctive high-end look and enhance performance where it counts the most- where the rubber meets the road.
